In order to develop new resources and scale up their impact, the Open Academy Step by Step engages in international and local collaborative learning through forming strategic partnerships and developing projects. All our projects aim at implementing the best practices, as well as developing and testing innovative ideas that focus on quality and inclusivness of services in early childhood. The ultimate goal is to enable all children’s participation in high-quality services through the development of educators’ professional competences and the empowerment of institutions, families, and communities.
PROJECTS
Based on previous experiences in providing continuous mentoring support to kindergartens and schools and establishing professional learning communities, Open Academy Step by Step, alongside our colleagues from Slovenia, Estonia, and Slovakia, started a new project aimed at strengthening the soft skills of leaders of Teacher Support Learning Groups (TSLGs).
The project aims to develop informed and transnational strategies for recruitment, selection, training, continuous professional development (CPD) and professionalisation of Roma paraprofessionals. This will include mapping of the existing practices and needs analysis, competences framework, training and CPD tools and pathways for their professionalisation.
The aim of the project is to improve the professional development of educational practitioners by improving the competencies of Korak and other's educators who work with them. Social justice, interculturalism and human rights are especially promoted in all topics of professional development of educational practitioners.
